About This Role

Serve delicious meals to residents, maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety, and contribute to a supportive team environment at a senior living community.

Responsibilities

• Keep all kitchen equipment and prep/serving areas clean and organized
• Plan and follow a cooking schedule to ensure meals are ready on time
• Maintain food quality and safety by regularly checking temperatures and tasting dishes
• Set up food on steam tables and restock as needed during service
• Follow portion control guidelines during meal prep and serving
• Check and properly use leftover perishables from the fridge and freezer to minimize waste
• Help with other kitchen duties as needed

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant or institutional kitchen setting
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to respond professionally
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Solid math skills
• Able to make routine decisions
