About This Role

Coordinate dining room activities and ensure courteous and rapid service to guests, including greeting, seating, taking orders, serving meals, and handling payments.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests using the standard Rib Crib greeting
• Present menus, answer questions, and suggestively sell menu items
• Answer phone calls by the third ring, direct calls, and take call-in orders
• Record guests’ orders on checks
• Relay orders to the kitchen and serve courses
• Prepare and suggest drinks and desserts, and stock service bars
• Observe guests’ dining experiences, respond to requests, and determine meal completion
• Total bills and accept payments or refer to Cashier
• Clear and reset counters or tables at the conclusion of each meal and shift

Requirements

• Ability to clearly communicate both orally and written
• Understands basic math concepts
• Minimum six months previous restaurant industry experience
