About This Role

This role primarily focuses on serving guests in a restaurant setting, taking orders, and ensuring catering orders are accurate. Additionally, the role involves assisting with the setup, tear down, and delivery of food and service items for catered events.

Responsibilities

• Serve and suggestively sell drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts to Guests in an outgoing and friendly manner.
• Ensure catering and delivery orders are accurate and packed correctly.
• Positively represent the Famous Dave's brand.
• Perform side duties including answering the phone, bussing tables, washing dishes, cleaning work stations, rolling silverware, expediting orders, or running food.
• Coordinate and set-up deliveries and catered events.
• Interact verbally with all Guests, explaining signature items and touring them through the menu.
• Practice teamwork by assisting other servers and team members.
• Accurately use the P.O.S. (point of sale) system for clock-in/out, order processing, and end-of-shift procedures.
• Set up and tear down the site for all Famous Dave's service-related items.
• Prepare catering vehicle with all needed food and service items for events.

Requirements

• Reading, writing, basic math and superior communication skills
• Understanding of federal, state, and local liquor laws
• English language and professional communications skills

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• Previous server or restaurant experience preferred, indicating entry level welcomed.
