Senior UX Designer

About This Role

This role involves defining the user experience for Intersystems' IntelliCare, an electronic health record system, by designing workflows that enhance efficiency and patient care quality for clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Drive innovation by questioning assumptions, exploring emerging technologies, and pushing for better ways to solve tough UX challenges
• Design with impact, creating human-centered experiences that simplify complexity without sacrificing power or precision
• Collaborate deeply with engineers, product managers, domain experts, and fellow UX designers to bring bold ideas to life
• Prototype and iterate to discover what works—leveraging research, testing, and storytelling to shape products from concept to launch
• Help evolve the UX strategy and design language for a large healthcare application
• Guide the design of AI tools applied to the real-world challenge of modern healthcare

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a user experience designer (UXD), user researcher, or similar
• Experience designing complex enterprise software
• Proficiency with industry-standard software for designing and prototyping
• Ability to think both creatively and analytically
• Strong storytelling, verbal, and written communication skills
• Team oriented and self-motivated
• A continuous learning mindset

Qualifications

• Degree in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Psychology, Graphic Design, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience as a user experience designer (UXD), user researcher, or similar

Nice to Have

• Experience working with LLMs and designing human in the loop workflows
• Familiarity with terminology from healthcare-related domains
• A portfolio or examples of your work that illustrate your approach and results
• Understanding of W3C and 508 accessibility guidelines
