This role is for an experienced Senior Underwriter with specialized knowledge in the senior living sector. The underwriter will manage existing accounts, develop new broker relationships, and ensure profitable portfolio performance, while contributing to underwriting guidelines and enhancing market visibility.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite accounts within specific business classes including Nursing Homes, Independent Living Facilities, Adult Day Care, Assisted Living Facilities, CCRC’s, Hospice, Home Health
- Create and maintain broker relationships
- Evaluate exposure, loss trends, and pricing adequacy to ensure profitable portfolio performance
- Contribute to underwriting guidelines, training programs, and process improvements
- Potentially represent the organization at industry events and maintain strong market visibility within the Senior Living and Healthcare sectors
Requirements
- Experience working in large accounts, ideally $1 Million+ in premium
- Experience with retail relationships
- Strong brokerage relationships
- Confidence in ability to work autonomously
