Senior Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC

About This Role

Support and oversee repair of Walmart facilities' Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills. This role involves using various tools to complete jobs, responding to emergency calls, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills
• Utilize hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
• Utilize the work order management system to receive and document repair activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete all required training for safe equipment and tool operation
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines
• Lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights frequently

Requirements

• 10 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance or 8 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and AAS in A/C and Refrigeration
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience
• Type I/Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Refrigerant handling
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 10 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance or 8 years’ experience with an AAS in A/C and Refrigeration

Nice to Have

• Completion of a 2-year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2-year associate’s of applied science A/C and refrigeration
• Excellent driving record
• Prior work experience with Glycol and C02 systems
