Senior Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC

About This Role

Support and oversee the repair of Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets, utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and various tools to complete jobs and respond to emergency calls.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets
• Utilize commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills
• Use hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair Work Orders and document activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and comfortable working at heights frequently

Requirements

• 10 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance (or 8 years with AAS in A/C and Refrigeration)
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience
• Type I/Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Refrigerant handling
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 10 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance OR 8 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and AAS in A/C and Refrigeration

Nice to Have

• Completion of a 2-year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2-year associate’s of applied science A/C and refrigeration
• Excellent driving record
• Prior work experience with Glycol and C02 systems
