Senior Technical Lead, Water/Wastewater Infrastructure

About This Role

Lead and innovate in water/wastewater linear infrastructure projects as a Subject Matter Expert, contributing to design, assessment, and rehabilitation, and mentoring junior engineers within a global company committed to sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Technical Lead on larger, complex programs
• Serve as Lead quality reviewer of work products developed by others
• Coordinate the work of other engineering disciplines into final design deliverables (calculations, drawings, specifications and cost estimates)
• Prepare technical approach for proposals and estimates of fee for water and wastewater linear infrastructure projects
• Train and mentor design and engineering employees
• Participate in relevant professional affiliations for strengthening technical skills and representing Ramboll’s capabilities through technical presentations

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in Civil/Environmental Engineering
• Technical expertise in water and wastewater linear infrastructure design, specifically large diameter water transmission mains, sewage force mains and gravity systems, CSO, and/or stormwater conveyance systems
• Strong personnel development skills with experience mentoring engineers
• Strong communication skills with ability to convey complex technical knowledge
• Trenchless pipe installation and rehabilitation technologies experience
• Professional certification or licensure in the Northeast, MidAtlantic and/or MidWest Regions and ability to obtain multiple licenses through reciprocity

Qualifications

• B.S. Civil/Environmental Engineering or demonstrated expertise
• 12+ years of experience in Civil/Environmental Engineering with demonstrated expertise in water and wastewater linear infrastructure design

Nice to Have

• Technical expertise in pumping stations and water storage design
• Client facing with strong existing client relationships within the water/wastewater infrastructure and/or resiliency field
