This Senior Tax Accountant II role at Incite Tax involves preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns, advising clients on tax-saving strategies, and mentoring junior accountants. The position offers flexibility and work-life balance while delivering meaningful results for small business owners.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns with accuracy and confidence
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and recommend proactive strategies to clients
- Communicate tax information clearly and consistently with clients
- Lead and mentor junior tax accountants, conduct peer reviews, and provide feedback
- Review 25-30 returns per week during peak season (15 in off-season) while maintaining quality and efficiency
- Collaborate with fellow senior accountants to ensure consistent, high-quality results and efficient processes
- Stay current with tax law changes and compliance requirements
- Participate in ongoing training and contribute ideas for improving tax systems and client experience
Requirements
- Experience preparing, reviewing, and filing tax returns
- Proficient in tax software (CCH) and accounting systems
- Strong compliance knowledge
- Skilled in peer review, mentoring, and supporting team members
- Excellent communication and client advisory skills
- Team player
Qualifications
- 4+ years in tax or public accounting
