About This Role

The Senior System Administrator ensures stable operation of in-house computer software systems and network connections for the CAGE system, managing, maintaining, and securing critical IT infrastructure for high availability and compliance within secure government environments.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure stable operation of in-house computer software systems and network connections for the CAGE system.
  • Plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize all network software and communication links.
  • Organize and direct the configuration and operation of CAGE information management systems.
  • Analyze and resolve end user software program and connectivity issues.
  • Conduct capacity and performance analysis and provide system configuration change and upgrade recommendations.
  • Increase system administrator efficiency and accuracy via automated tools and scripts, develop procedures, and conduct training.
  • Provide local and remote maintenance support to operational systems.
  • Direct the work of other system administrators for day-to-day system administration.
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge of application networking, load balancing, and fault tolerance.
  • Perform vulnerability management, manage, maintain, and secure critical IT infrastructure (servers, networks, storage).

Requirements

  • IT-I security clearance or current NACLC
  • Active IAT Level II or IAM II certification
  • Active CCNP or CCNP-E
  • BA/BS in a technical discipline with at least 10 years of specialized experience
  • Experience in computer software development and testing software applications
  • Knowledge developing and maintaining test cases using designated automated test tools
  • Oral presentation experience and excellent oral and written communication skills

  • At least 10 years of specialized experience.
