About This Role

This role involves directing all phases of program management from inception to completion, driving program execution to meet key business and financial objectives, and serving as the primary customer contact for program activities within the defense industry.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all phases of programs from inception through completion
  • Drive program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives (orders, revenue, operating income, free cash flow)
  • Manage the cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs or subsystems
  • Participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes
  • Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, SOW, specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms
  • Act as primary customer contact for program activities and lead review sessions
  • Establish design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and test
  • Expand the product line with the customer
  • Establish milestones, monitor adherence to schedules, and identify/solve program problems
  • Direct the work of assigned employees from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience
  • OR Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
  • OR minimum of 10 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree
  • Strong knowledge of job area
  • Broad knowledge of project management (may have)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or Graduate Degree, or 10 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 4 years with a Graduate Degree, or 10 years without a degree.
