Senior Special Security Technician

About This Role

The Senior Special Security Technician assists the Special Security Officer (SSO) in managing Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access and facilities. This role involves certifying SCI visitor clearances, conducting security briefings, and providing guidance for SCI position and eligibility requests for government and contractor personnel.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Special Security Officer (SSO) in ensuring control of access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and SCI facilities (SCIFs)
• Certify and receive SCI visitor clearances/accesses
• Conduct SCI security briefings, indoctrinations, debriefings, and training on classified material/SSO-related topics
• Obtain signed nondisclosure agreements
• Provide guidance and assistance for processing SCI position and eligibility requests for assigned military, Government, and contractor personnel
• Conduct audits of classified material
• Perform inspections of classified material storage facilities/SCIFs/containers
• Research and prepare classified material-related policy and management recommendations and reports

Requirements

• Minimum 12 years of experience related to special security
• TS/SCI with CI POLY security clearance or the ability to obtain CI POLY.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; or Bachelor's degree and an additional 5 years of related senior experience (total 17 years)
• Minimum 12 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
