Senior Software Engineer, Core Experiences

About This Role

Join the Core Experiences Team to build and maintain foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify's product across all platforms, focusing on designing reliable APIs and simple systems to enhance the user experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Speechify's Product Teams to scope projects and reduce scope for faster customer feedback
• Navigate integration and UX tradeoffs relevant to different product teams
• Deliver solutions via cross-platform SDK
• Optimize existing functionality for faster loading and more intelligent parsing
• Design more efficient abstractions and improve algorithms
• Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin

Requirements

• Systems thinking for end-to-end design and simplicity
• Ability to generate ideas and options quickly and make shipping decisions
• Focus and ability to work effectively in a high-growth, remote startup environment
• Collaboration skills to inspire, play, and negotiate with designers, marketers, and PMs
• Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience is acceptable)

• Prior experience with GCP
