Senior Robotics Engineer

About This Role

This Senior Robotics Engineer role focuses on supporting and optimizing existing robotic systems in production environments, primarily involving troubleshooting, system optimization, and engineering support for Fanuc robotics and Allen Bradley PLCs, especially concerning composites materials and process engineering.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for composites materials and manufacturing processes
• Support production by troubleshooting robotic, mechanical, and process-related issues
• Provide on-site, day-shift support for Fanuc robotic systems
• Diagnose and resolve issues with Fanuc robots and Allen Bradley PLCs
• Support engineering with project scoping, equipment layout, vendor coordination, and customer discussions
• Perform basic thermal, flow, and mechanical calculations
• Support P&ID reviews and process definitions
• Assist with minor programming updates, system tuning, and productivity improvements

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience as a Robotics Engineer or similar role
• Strong hands-on experience with Fanuc robotics controls
• Experience troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLCs
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM tools and engineering documentation
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
• 12+ years of experience as a Robotics Engineer or similar role

Nice to Have

• Experience in composites or carbon fiber manufacturing
• Knowledge of thermal systems, fluid flow, and mechanical calculations
• Familiarity with Mathcad and ASME B31.3
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial production environments
