About This Role

This Senior Project Manager role involves planning, executing, and delivering projects within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction field, managing resources, coordinating teams, and ensuring client satisfaction. The position requires strong leadership in A&E projects, maintaining client relationships, and driving financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare proposals for professional services, including scope, schedule, fee budget, and negotiations.
  • Accountable for the team's quality of work, productivity, and actions.
  • Oversee and deliver complex, high-value A&E projects.
  • Maintain executive-level client relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Lead all phases of project development, ensuring design excellence, quality control, and technical accuracy.
  • Drive financial performance, including profit and loss accountability for assigned projects.
  • Manage billing, invoicing, and accounts receivable in collaboration with the accounting department.
  • Supervise direct reports.
  • Manage multiple teams and subconsultants across disciplines and geographic locations.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project managers.
  • Lead contract negotiation, fee development, and project scoping.
  • Partner with market and business development leaders to pursue new work.
  • Establish project goals, performance metrics, and risk management protocols.
  • Advance internal project delivery standards, tools, and training initiatives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience managing projects in design and construction related field OR 15 years related experience
  • Computer skills necessary to enter daily timesheet data and use Microsoft Outlook
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite products, Deltek, and Newforma

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, civil engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience directly managing projects in a design and construction related field is preferred; Or 15 years related experience and/or training is required.

Nice to Have

  • Professional Licensure (RA, PE, PS, RLA)
  • PMP certification
