Manage environmental assessment and remediation projects for state and local government, industrial, and commercial retail clients from proposal through execution. Lead technical discussions and mentor less experienced staff. Develop and implement site investigations and remedial actions.
Responsibilities
- Manage client projects from proposal through execution and invoicing
- Write proposals and meet with prospective and existing clients to bring in new work
- Prepare presentations for business development and industry trade shows/conferences
- Interact and cooperate with clients, vendors, and contractors
- Execute various work scopes and maintain project schedules and budgetary goals
- Work independently or as part of a project team and adjust to changing site conditions
- Mentor and train less experienced personnel and supervise contractors
- Interpret and evaluate scientific data
- Provide technical support to projects in conceptual design, site characterization, remediation design, procurement, and construction
- Manage, coordinate, and review Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments and remedial actions
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in environmental assessment and remediation industry
- 3+ years of experience in project management and personnel management in the environmental assessment and remediation industry
- Experience/knowledge working under the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP CMR 40.0000)
- Experience in conducting Phase I and Phase II due diligence assessments
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Current HAZWOPER certification
- Valid Driver's License
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering or other Science degree required.
- 10+ years of experience in the environmental assessment and remediation industry, with 3+ years in project management and personnel management.
Nice to Have
- Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional (LSP) Certification
- Connecticut Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) Certification
- Experience managing projects for Commercial, Industrial, State and Local clients
- Experience working at Brownfields Redevelopment sites
- Experience working in New England states
- Experience managing environmental assessments, permitting, permit compliance, environmental due diligence, and remediation of contaminated sites
