Senior Project Manager

About This Role

The Senior Project Manager will lead complex heavy civil construction projects, including highway, site development, and asphalt paving, from pre-construction to closeout in the Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. This role involves managing schedules, budgets, and serving as the main point of contact for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale highway, site development, and asphalt paving projects from pre-construction through closeout
• Manage schedules, budgets, contracts, change orders, and project forecasting
• Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, engineers, DOTD, municipalities, and inspectors
• Coordinate field operations, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
• Drive project safety, quality, and profitability
• Mentor and support Project Managers and Assistant PMs
• Proactively identify risks and solve problems before they impact the job

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in heavy civil or site development construction
• Proven success managing roadway, infrastructure, or large sitework projects
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (experience may substitute)
• 8–12+ years of experience in heavy civil or site development construction

Nice to Have

• Experience with Louisiana DOTD projects and local regulations
