Senior Program Manager - Reinsurance

About This Role

Join Allianz Commercial's new reinsurance function to drive innovation and shape strategies in actuarial, finance, and operations. This role focuses on managing reinsurance transactions from initiation to closure and overseeing reinsurance operations for compliance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage reinsurance projects from initiation through delivery and closure, interfacing with stakeholders to manage expectations.
• Develop project plans including identifying and scheduling deliverables, milestones, and tasks.
• Collaborate with functional managers on cross-functional teams for prioritizations and appropriate resourcing.
• Identify risks and issues, assign responsibility, and drive towards resolution.
• Conduct project kick-off and ongoing meetings, capturing decisions, issues, and action items.
• Collect and report on plan-to-actual progress to the project schedule, communicating status to a broader audience.
• Integrate best practices, project standards, procedures, and quality objectives into projects.
• Manage the project budget, if applicable.
• Provide support on reinsurance governance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Assist in the management and administration of reinsurance contracts, providing operational support during drafting.

Requirements

• 4-year undergraduate degree
• Excellent organization and prioritization skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High adaptability and agility in a dynamic environment
• Ability to maintain focus under pressure
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams and work with subject matter experts
• Sound knowledge of project management principles and tools
• Solid understanding of business dynamics, planning and execution
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship

Qualifications

• 4-year undergraduate degree required, MBA preferred
• Prior reinsurance experience preferred, prior experience managing reinsurance transactions is a plus
