This role serves as the primary engineering contact for Divert’s Operations teams, ensuring consistent implementation of best practices and transparent communication within the organization. This position is critical for resolving process performance issues and coordinating technical solutions across various facilities.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and review the technical performance of key systems including anaerobic digesters, RNG production, air scrubbers, centrifuges, and automated equipment.
- Detect and report deviations or malfunctions to appropriate subject matter experts and Plant Director.
- Assess criticality of issues based on potential impact to safety, production, or regulatory compliance.
- Develop and maintain a prioritized action item list, tracking and communicating issues through resolution.
- Serve as the on-site point of contact between Plant Operations and centralized/external SMEs in Controls/Automation, Biological Processes, and Mechanical/Chemical Systems.
- Lead technical investigations of process failures to determine root causes and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Issue written summaries of technical investigations for future understanding and preventative actions.
- Provide concise, regular updates to management and cross-functional teams regarding process performance, technical issues, and resolution timelines.
- Ensure clear, efficient coordination between on-site personnel, external technical vendors, and subject matter experts.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- 8+ years experience working in a processing facility
- Exceptionally strong communication skills (written, verbal, and relationship building)
- Ability to travel up to 10% to facilities
