Senior Manager, Strategic Finance

About This Role

The Senior Manager, Strategic Finance will drive GeneDx's financial and business outcomes by defining growth strategies, launching new products, and building comprehensive business cases. This role focuses on market sizing, commercial strategy, and supporting M&A activities to ensure long-term profitability.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders across the company to develop and execute business plans
• Build financial models to evaluate new initiatives and assess their impact
• Conduct rigorous research and analysis to size new markets and identify headwinds/tailwinds
• Strengthen understanding of new and existing markets, collaborating with Commercial, Product, and Market Intelligence functions
• Define pricing, go-to-market models, and unit economics in new business areas
• Support M&A activity, developing screening theses, running diligence on prospective targets, and building acquisition business cases

Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking or strategic finance roles
• Structured thinker (breaking down nebulous problems into logical, solvable components and identifying drivers of long-term financial value)
• Business acumen (understand product-market fit, competitive dynamics, go-to-market strategy)
• High agency (comfortable with ambiguity and can drive strategic projects from idea to recommendation with minimal oversight)
• Experience developing financial business cases, including setting and measuring return targets

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• 4-7 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking or strategic finance roles
