Lead the Labor & Delivery department at Swedish First Hill, overseeing quality, finance, staffing, and patient/caregiver experience. This role requires a dynamic leader to partner with L&D and Women & Children’s leadership teams in a high-volume, unionized environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of quality, finance, staffing, and patient/caregiver experience for the Labor & Delivery department
- Partnership with L&D and Women & Children’s leadership teams
- Manage approximately 140 direct reports including a Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, RNs, Surgical Techs & Health Unit Coordinators
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum 5 years as a Nurse Manager or equivalent with acute care nursing background
- Washington RN License
- National Provider BLS from the American Heart Association
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school
- Minimum 5 years as a Nurse Manager or equivalent, with acute care nursing background
Nice to Have
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field
- Experience in a unionized healthcare environment
