About This Role

Lead the Labor & Delivery department at Swedish First Hill, overseeing quality, finance, staffing, and patient/caregiver experience. This role requires a dynamic leader to partner with L&D and Women & Children’s leadership teams in a high-volume, unionized environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of quality, finance, staffing, and patient/caregiver experience for the Labor & Delivery department
  • Partnership with L&D and Women & Children’s leadership teams
  • Manage approximately 140 direct reports including a Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, RNs, Surgical Techs & Health Unit Coordinators

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Minimum 5 years as a Nurse Manager or equivalent with acute care nursing background
  • Washington RN License
  • National Provider BLS from the American Heart Association

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school
  • Minimum 5 years as a Nurse Manager or equivalent, with acute care nursing background

Nice to Have

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field
  • Experience in a unionized healthcare environment
