This role is a strategic HR leader forBD's global function, partnering with HR and functional leadership to drive a high-performance and talent-focused culture. The Senior Manager HR provides strategic guidance and hands-on HR leadership, aligning with BD's global HR strategy and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute short- and long-term HR strategies that advance business goals and align with BD’s global HR strategy
- Serve as a strategic partner to site leadership, providing insight, data, and counsel on talent, workforce planning, engagement, organizational effectiveness, and culture
- Partner with the RPO and Talent Acquisition COE to ensure recruitment efforts support business capability needs
- Oversee workforce planning activities to anticipate future needs and proactively address gaps
- Lead compensation planning activities with leadership to ensure reward decisions support performance differentiation and drive desired organizational outcomes
- Drive and facilitate the annual performance management and development process, ensuring principles and process of pay - for -performance are met
- Act as a trusted HR business partner and coach to leaders, supporting effective people leadership, decision-making, and development of high-performing teams
- Lead succession planning, talent reviews, and development activities
- Serve as the site’s talent advisor and champion, ensuring strong, diverse successor pipelines for critical roles
- Use HR metrics and analytics to identify trends, measure effectiveness of HR programs and provide data driven insights to business leaders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership of HR business partnership activities
- Demonstrated capability in talent management, employee relations, engagement, and HR program execution
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
- Proven ability to coach leaders, build trust, and influence at multiple organizational levels
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership of HR business partnership activities
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree or HR certification (CHRP, SHRM-CP/SCP, etc.)
- Experience working within a global matrixed organization
- Experience supporting manufacturing, operations, or high-volume environments
