About This Role

Lead all financial aspects of the company's commission and sales incentive strategy for a global sales organization, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and scalability of commissions.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Sales leadership to design and structure incentive compensation plans for the global sales team.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on all things commissions, diagnosing and solving operational and analytical problems.
  • Collaborate closely with systems and operations teams to ensure accurate calculations and efficient processes.
  • Work cross-functionally to analyze, validate and forecast commissions payout and financial statement impact.
  • Ensure thorough reconciliations, controls and audit processes that validate data integrity and reduce risk.
  • Develop and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance end user experience and scalability of commissions system.
  • Periodically report out to the executive team on quarterly financial results and sales incentive effectiveness or trend analyses.
  • Support regular forecast updates and communicate early insights into risks or opportunities spanning commissions, bookings and other sales financial metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7+ years of experience in commissions, sales/revenue operations, finance or another highly analytical role
  • 2+ years of experience as a people manager or team lead
  • Experience with interpreting and communicating sales performance with data-based insights
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with data modelling, forecasting and analysis
  • Strong understanding of commission systems and incentive compensation management (ICM) tools (e.g., Spiff, CaptivateIQ, Anaplan)
  • Understanding of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and lead cross-functional projects or process improvements
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7+ years of experience in commissions, sales/revenue operations, finance or another highly analytical role, with 2+ years as a people manager or team lead.
