Senior Functional Lead – AI

About This Role

This role involves designing functional logic for autonomous agents, translating business objectives into detailed specifications, and supporting the execution of AI-driven solutions across complex environments. As a Senior Functional Lead - AI, you will serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Translate high-level business goals into structured, step-by-step agent workflows
• Define logic through flowcharts, decision trees, and functional diagrams
• Map and document required data inputs and integration points for agents
• Establish operational constraints and behavioral rules for AI agent responses
• Serve as primary liaison between business stakeholders and the engineering team
• Review technical builds to ensure alignment with functional specs
• Create and execute acceptance tests to validate agent logic
• Continuously refine requirements and user stories in an agile development environment

Requirements

• 7+ years in a Functional Lead, Technical Product Owner, or Business Systems Analyst role
• Expertise in workflow modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart)
• Ability to interpret API documentation and data formats (JSON, XML, OpenAPI)
• Experience designing functional specs for AI agents, LLMs, or automation tools
• Strong understanding of agile practices and user story development (Jira)
• Bachelor's degree in a related field

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 7+ years in a Functional Lead, Technical Product Owner, or Business Systems Analyst role

Nice to Have

• Experience with enterprise platforms such as SAP (S/4HANA or ECC)
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and deployment environments
• Basic knowledge of SQL, Python, or ABAP
