Lead site engineering and maintenance operations in a regulated food manufacturing environment, focusing on equipment reliability, facility performance, and operational excellence. Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and delivery results.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a plant engineering and maintenance organization
- Ensure equipment, utilities, and facilities operate safely, reliably, and in compliance with GMP, food safety, and security requirements
- Set technical and operational direction to achieve performance targets across safety, quality, service, and cost metrics
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement by embedding proactive behaviors, accountability, and data-driven decision-making
- Establish and sustain preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime, extend asset life, and improve equipment availability
- Direct the engineering function to support immediate operational needs and long-term strategic objectives
- Identify process, system, and capability gaps; lead root cause analysis efforts and implement sustainable corrective actions
- Own the facility capital planning process, including budget development, project justification, ROI evaluation, and spend control
- Plan, prioritize, and track engineering and capital projects to ensure alignment with safety, quality, delivery, and cost expectations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical discipline
- 5–7+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven success leading engineering, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives in a regulated or high-volume production setting
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, reliability improvement, and process optimization methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical discipline
- 5–7+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
