About This Role

This Senior Deskside Engineer role involves supporting global IT infrastructure, acting as a technical escalation point, and having input into the IT roadmap. The position focuses on defining, providing, maintaining, optimizing, and expanding business solutions that support global operations and data management.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Survitec global infrastructure, acting as a technical escalation point and collaboration source to partners and vendors
  • Perform stakeholder management for all Survitec sites within the region
  • Assist with IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and backups
  • Respond to IT support requests from staff and customers via phone, email, or chat
  • Document IT procedures, policies, and best practices
  • Monitor and maintain IT inventory, security, and performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and system issues
  • Install, configure, and update IT equipment and software in the region
  • Provide training and guidance to users on IT tools and applications
  • Collaborate with other IT staff and external vendors as needed
  • Remain current regarding IT trends and developments

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge across the MS Stack including Windows OS Family, Active Directory (hybrid), Exchange, Office and endpoint management (Intune & SCCM)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and system issues
  • Project or line management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of Service management tools (e.g., ServiceNOW, SysAID)
  • Knowledge of MS Windows operating system and Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Qualifications

  • At least three years of experience in IT support or similar role

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of key infrastructure processes including capacity management, patch management, change management and performance reporting
  • Network management including LAN & WAN technologies
  • Outsourced Supplier management
  • Manufacturing industry experience
