Senior Application Engineer

About This Role

Lead highly technical projects, provide product and application knowledge to customers and suppliers, develop cost-saving initiatives, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead highly technical projects
• Make detailed presentations
• Train and mentor less experienced engineers
• Engage with existing and potential customers, and current suppliers to provide extensive product and application knowledge, testing, and presentations
• Lead high-level projects and operating plan initiatives
• Develop cost-saving initiatives
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external contacts
• Create and deliver effective presentations to communicate Field capabilities and results
• Analyze problems, develop and present alternative solutions and influence eventual outcomes
• Create and deliver effective training on fasteners and fastening knowledge

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or 10+ years of application engineering experience
• Minimum 8+ years of fastener/fastening experience
• Proficient on Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Experienced, results-driven and independent thinking
• Project management experience
• Able to utilize a wide range of technical and mechanical devices for testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or 10+ years of application engineering experience
• Minimum 8+ years of fastener/fastening experience, 10+ years of application engineering experience as alternative to degree

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with CAD programs: Auto CAD, Solid Works or Pro/ENGINEER
