About This Role

This role involves leading the design and implementation of security controls for generative AI solutions across the enterprise. It requires partnering with AI development teams to embed security into model training, deployment, and usage, while defining architecture patterns, controls, and threat models for AI/ML systems.

Responsibilities

  • Architect secure AI/ML pipelines and model deployment environments
  • Develop AI-specific threat models and security controls
  • Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to ensure secure design
  • Evaluate third-party AI tools and APIs for security risks
  • Partner with Information Security incident response teams to investigate AI-related security events
  • Partner with Information Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance for risk analysis and security maturation assessments of organizational AI solutions
  • Stay current on AI security research, adversarial ML, and regulatory trends
  • Partner with business units when onboarding AI solutions to ensure adequate controls are available and enabled in production
  • Perform additional duties as necessary, supporting the CISO, management team, and executive leadership

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of LLMs, generative AI, and model lifecycle
  • Strong knowledge of data privacy, model governance, and adversarial AI/ML
  • 8+ years in cybersecurity in roles such as security architecture, offensive security, security engineering or application security
  • 3+ years designing, implementing, and securing AI/ML
  • 2+ years in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Microsoft Azure cloud computing security configuration and management
  • 2+ years in application security with an emphasis on AI/ML
  • Demonstrated project management, multitasking and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of industry accepted risk management frameworks and standards such as the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST Privacy Framework
  • Knowledge of industry accepted Information Security frameworks and standards such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), ISO27001, NIST 800 Series, OWASP GenAI Security Project

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information assurance, MIS or related field, or equivalent
  • 8+ years in cybersecurity in one or more roles, including security architecture, offensive security, security engineering or application security, with 3+ years in designing, implementing, and securing AI/ML, and 2+ years in cloud computing security (AWS, GCP, Azure) and application security with an emphasis on AI/ML.

  • Ability to obtain Advanced in AI Security Management (AAISM) certification
  • Ability to obtain Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) certification
  • Ability to obtain Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
  • Ability to obtain Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification
