Security Officer Pool - Seasonal

About This Role

Serve as a Security Officer, responsible for maintaining vigilance, conducting patrols, and responding to emergencies at a casino resort. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety and security of guests and property.

Responsibilities

• Enthusiastically support, actively promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements within area of responsibility and report potential issues to management.
• Maintain vigilance at assigned posts for all activities.
• Maintain routine patrols throughout the premises while on watch for criminal activities and any general non-compliance to company rules and policies.
• Provide visual surveillance of all areas in an attempt to detect fire and safety hazards which might compromise the well-being of life and property.
• Respond to and handle emergencies using the proper methods, and the correct safety procedures.
• Conduct crowd control and direct traffic as needed.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of security experience in a high volume casino/night club environment or Military/Law Enforcement experience
• Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime
• Ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
• Excellent organizational skills
• Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills and good public relations skills
• Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to deal effectively with guests, management, vendors and employees while working under pressure and meeting deadlines
• Ability to withstand extreme sun & heat, cold, and inclement weather for long periods of time
• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of security experience in a high volume casino/night club environment or Military/Law Enforcement experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
