Security Engineer

About This Role

Enlighten is seeking a Security Engineer/Architect to understand, document, and implement secure system designs for big data applications within a multi-enclave environment. This role involves ensuring compliance with federal and DoD security policies and guiding development teams on security posture requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and edit authorization documentation for completeness and accuracy in accordance with federal and DoD policy.
• Implement DoD RMF system accreditation processes.
• Assess use case and operational risk of integrated open source, GOTS/COTS software components.
• Utilize vulnerability management systems, automated security scanning tools, and system accreditation record systems.
• Provide security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management support.
• Recommend system-level solutions to resolve security requirements and guide the development team.
• Support the Government in the enforcement of trusted relationships among external systems.
• Apply knowledge of IA policy, procedures, and workforce structure to design, develop, and implement secure environments.

Requirements

• Current TS/SCI level U.S. Government clearance with CI Polygraph
• U.S. Citizenship
• Experience implementing DoD system accreditation processes (DIACAP or RMF)
• Deep understanding of systems engineering and software/system applications
• Experience with DISA STIGs and SRGs, vulnerability management systems, and automated security scanning tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 9+ years of experience as an ISSE or security-focused software / systems engineer with large multi-tiered programs.

Nice to Have

• CISSP-ISSEP certification
