Seasonal Spring/Fall Maintenance

About This Role

Perform seasonal maintenance for the Parks Department in De Pere, WI, assisting full-time staff with grounds and facility upkeep, including landscaping, forestry operations, and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform spring and fall maintenance in the Parks Department
• Maintain park facilities and grounds, including landscaping, mowing, trimming, cleaning, and painting
• Assist with forestry operations, including pruning, brush chipping, stump removal, and tree planting
• Operate vehicles and powered equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, tractors, chainsaws, and twin-axle vehicles
• Perform various park maintenance duties like cleaning restrooms, watering flowers, mulching, and trash collection
• Drag and mark ball fields, and assist with event preparation
• Install, repair, inspect, and maintain playground equipment, fences, signs, benches, and picnic tables
• Maintain and repair boat ramp facilities, tools, equipment, vehicles, or structures
• Shovel snow from walks, driveways, or parking lots and spread salt in those areas
• Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age by first day of employment
• Valid Wisconsin driver's license and good driving record
