Scientist II, Biologics Drug Product Development

About This Role

This role will support the Biologics CMC Developability group by performing sample preparation, data collection, and analysis using established high-throughput screening assays. The Scientist II will contribute to selecting candidate molecules for drug development and maintain comprehensive electronic lab notebooks.

Responsibilities

• Perform sample preparation, data collection, and data analysis on established high-throughput (HT) screening assays
• Develop and execute Client HT assays
• Maintain an electronic lab notebook in alignment with company documentation policies
• Stay current with scientific literature and support new scientific initiatives

Requirements

• BS or MS in a scientific field
• Hands-on experience using analytical methods for chemical and structural characterization of biologics (e.g., HPLC/UPLC, capillary electrophoresis, UV-vis, DLS, DSF)
• Scientific understanding of the structure & function of monoclonal antibodies, antibody constructs/conjugates, bispecific, and fusion proteins and their modes of degradation/stabilization
• Strong laboratory skills focused on formulation development for monoclonal antibodies and antibody constructs/conjugates (standard excipient selection, functional excipients, high throughput assays)

Qualifications

• BS or MS in a scientific field
• 4 years of relevant experience with a BS or 2 years with an MS; 3-5 years total experience mentioned as top skill

• Experience with digital data capture tools and systems
• Research lab experience (undergrad or master's)
• Wet lab skills

• Liquid handling
