Science Teacher

About This Role

Develops and implements a science curriculum program consistent with District educational goals and objectives for the 2026/2027 school year. This role involves observing student behavior, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and evaluating student progress.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a curriculum program consistent with District educational goals and objectives
• Observe and monitor control of student's behavior in the classroom, playground, field-trips, lunchroom, library, and school buses
• Establish, maintain, and promote a classroom atmosphere which ensures emotional and physical safety and well being of students
• Assess student needs and develop, implement, and evaluate daily lesson plans
• Modify instruction of program to meet the needs of each child
• Plan, organize, and display classroom materials, space, and time appropriate to curricular activities
• Utilize and implement classroom management techniques to maintain organization, orderliness, student safety, and a productive learning environment
• Plan instruction to achieve specific objectives based upon student need and established curriculum
• Implement instructional techniques to encourage and motivate students
• Evaluate written materials, analyze student progress, and evaluate course curriculum
• Ensure parents and students are informed of evaluation methods and student progress
• Participate as a member of an instructional team to promote learning activities
• Notify site administrator of special needs of students
• Collaborate with specialists to assist students
• Order classroom supplies and instructional materials

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field
• Valid Arizona Elementary 1-8 or Secondary 6-12 Teaching Certificate with approved area
• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
