Science Teacher

About This Role

Plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for science students, fostering their academic potential and love of learning. This role guides students with diverse backgrounds and utilizes various teaching methodologies and technology to maximize engagement and learning.

Responsibilities

• Understand and support the mission, vision, and values of Harmony Public Schools.
• Design and implement appropriate instruction for assigned science content areas in line with school standards and student needs.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that maximize student engagement.
• Utilize a variety of teaching practices and methodologies to meet individual student needs.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment, including relevant technology.
• Conduct tutoring sessions to support all students.
• Manage student behavior by establishing and enforcing classroom rules and procedures.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations.
• Communicate regularly with students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and needs.
• Participate in district and campus staff development and serve on staff committees.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forms
• Ability to manage student behavior and maintain discipline

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university

• Ability to use computer and relevant software
• Ability to analyze data
