SAP ABAP Lead

About This Role

Lead the design, development, and implementation of custom applications and enhancements within the SAP S/4HANA environment. This role involves using ABAP, optimizing performance, and supporting migrations, with a strong emphasis on modern SAP technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement custom applications and enhancements in the S/4HANA environment using ABAP
• Write technical specifications, code, test, and optimize performance
• Support migrations with a strong emphasis on modern technologies like CDS views, AMDP, and Fiori/UI5
• Collaborate with functional teams
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical support
• Build integrations using IDOCs/BAPI/API
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, proposing holistic solutions
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and designs
• Develop interfaces and integrations with other SAP and non-SAP systems
• Maintain existing applications and fix bugs

Requirements

• Programming experience in ABAP, ABAP-OO, SAPUI5, SQL and Native SQL
• Good understanding of building integrations using IDOCs/BAPI/API
• Troubleshooting/Debugging experience
• Techno-functional skills with SAP Master Data with debugging skills
• In-depth knowledge of SAP OTC (Order-to-Cash)
• Strong ABAP programming skills for both ECC and S/4 HANA
• Expertise in ABAP for HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, and Odata
• Proficient in reports, forms, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and workflows (RICEFW)
• Solid understanding of core SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, FI/CO, PP) and their interrelationships

Qualifications

• BACHELOR OF COMPUTER SCIENCE
• Several years of hands-on ABAP development, with specific experience in S/4HANA

Nice to Have

• Full-cycle S/4HANA implementation experience
• Experience with integration tools like SAP PI/PO or CPI
• Knowledge of Fiori/UI5 and its integration with ABAP developments
