Sanitation Associate

About This Role

Maintain cleanliness and food safety in the kitchen and assembly areas, ensuring all equipment and facilities meet health and safety regulations for a meal solutions company.

Responsibilities

• Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean and sanitize receptacles daily
• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing them with a floor scrubber
• Clean and wipe down racks, metal tables, and sanitize daily
• Re-stock vinyl gloves and PPE in all sizes
• Clean and sanitize hand wash sinks and three department sinks
• Clean, empty, and sanitize all garbage gondolas daily
• Mix water and cleaning chemicals in containers and mop buckets according to specifications
• Check for leaks, drips, and condensation in all areas
• Clean all food manufacturing machinery according to SOP's
• Follow SSPO cleaning procedures for individual equipment cleans (Blast Chillers, Tilt Skillets, Ovens, MAP Machines, Sanitunnel)
• Clean, wash, and sanitize all production utensils, bus tubs, sheet pans, and blue dollies in the dish room
• Test sanitizer with Hydrion test strips to check PPM sanitation solution
• Follow facility GMPs and help enforce them throughout the facility
• Support efforts to maintain the company's food safety system (SQF) and quality programs

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working in the food industry
• General high school degree, or equivalent (GED)

Qualifications

• General high school degree, or equivalent, (e.g. GED)
• 2+ years of experience working in the food industry
