Salesperson

About This Role

Support the DIY automotive business by providing excellent sales and customer service, achieving sales goals, and maintaining store operational standards. This role requires basic automotive system and part knowledge, along with inventory management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal sales goals and help the store achieve its sales goals
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs
• Maintain store product and operational standards
• Manage inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, and back stock
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, and parking lot
• Perform general stocking duties including truck stocking and back stock
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed

Requirements

• Ability to speak and write English; communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and management
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
• Ability to use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
• Basic driving and navigation ability
• Basic automotive system knowledge
• Basic part knowledge
• In-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences

Nice to Have

• Fleet safety certification
• Spanish language proficiency
