About This Role

This role provides essential administrative support to the sales department, primarily focusing on appointment setting, logistics, and client liaison. It involves identifying revenue opportunities and qualifying leads to drive them through the sales pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients
  • Telephone prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify, and drive leads through the sales pipeline
  • Compile lists of prospective customers from various sources for sales leads
  • Assist with marketing logistics, including quoting prices and credit terms
  • Prepare sales contracts for obtained orders
  • Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers or communicate by phone
  • Prepare reports of business transactions and track invoices and expense accounts against budget
  • Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries
  • Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts
  • Coordinate customer training

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-2 years related experience or equivalent
  • Perceptive communication skills
  • Knowledge of Word Processing software
  • Knowledge of Spreadsheet software
  • Knowledge of Order processing systems
  • Knowledge of Contact Management systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
  • One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
