The SAFe Product Owner will act as the voice of the customer within a cross-functional team, developing and refining digital tools for a crucial transportation sector. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to define, prioritize, and validate solutions, focusing on enhancing customer experience and empowering frontline employees.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the product, managing the product backlog to ensure it aligns with business priorities and delivers maximum value.
- Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
- Prioritize features and user stories based on business value, customer feedback, and technical feasibility.
- Collaborate with product management to translate business needs into well-defined features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with business leaders, customers, and development teams to ensure a shared understanding of the product vision and roadmap.
- Coordinate with other Product Owners to ensure cohesive features and a unified, value-driven experience.
- Champion and implement the principles of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), ensuring agile methodologies are effectively followed.
- Define, track, and analyze key success metrics to measure value and identify areas for improvement or strategic pivots.
Requirements
- Eight years of experience as an agile product owner
- Three years in a Scaled Agile environment within a large organization
- SAFe 6.0 Product Owner/Product Manager Certification
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience
- Proficiency with Jira Software, Confluence, Jira Align
- Strong leadership, communication, and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated understanding of agile methodologies and the SAFe framework
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and prioritize effectively
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of related work experience.
- A minimum of eight years of experience as an agile product owner, with at least three years in a Scaled Agile environment within a large organization.
