Altom Transport is a family-owned company specializing in the safe and efficient transport of bulk liquid chemicals and petroleum products. This road driver role involves safely operating tanker trucks, loading/unloading materials, and maintaining accurate records while adhering to strict safety and regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tanker trucks transporting bulk liquid materials
- Load and unload using hoses, pumps, and valves with strict safety protocols
- Conduct and document pre- and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate trip records, logs, and inspection reports
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers and customers
- Adhere to DOT, EPA, and all applicable safety and regulatory guidelines
- Represent Altom with professionalism during customer interactions
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A License
- Tanker Endorsement (N)
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable tanker driving experience
- At least 23 years of age
- Clean MVR and strong safety record
- Pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work independently
- Minimum 2 years of tanker experience within the last 5 years
- No DUI/OWI within the last 5 years
- Not prohibited in the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
- No preventable fatal or rollover accidents in the last 5 years
- No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years
- No more than 2 CSA moving violations in the last 18 months
- No falsification on driver application
- Current X endorsement
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable tanker driving experience. Minimum 2 years of tanker experience within the last 5 years.
