Supervise nursing personnel and functions on a specific shift, directing care and ensuring efficient unit operations. Work predominately with an adult geriatric population, serving as a role model for excellent nursing care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all nursing personnel and nursing related functions on a specific shift
- Assess staffing and resident needs and direct care
- Work predominately with an adult geriatric population
- Serve as a role model for staff through provision of safe, effective and efficient nursing care
- Supervise clinical aspects of nursing
- Manage day to day operations of the Nursing Department
- Interface with others to insure efficient unit operations
- Seek opportunities for own growth and expansion of responsibilities to maintain clinical competency
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license issued in the state of Maryland
- Current CPR license
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university strongly preferred
- 1-3 years of managerial experience
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university
- 1-3 years of managerial experience and proven leadership skills
- Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or skilled nursing facility
