About This Role

Supervise nursing personnel and functions on a specific shift, directing care and ensuring efficient unit operations. Work predominately with an adult geriatric population, serving as a role model for excellent nursing care.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all nursing personnel and nursing related functions on a specific shift
  • Assess staffing and resident needs and direct care
  • Work predominately with an adult geriatric population
  • Serve as a role model for staff through provision of safe, effective and efficient nursing care
  • Supervise clinical aspects of nursing
  • Manage day to day operations of the Nursing Department
  • Interface with others to insure efficient unit operations
  • Seek opportunities for own growth and expansion of responsibilities to maintain clinical competency

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license issued in the state of Maryland
  • Current CPR license

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university strongly preferred
  • 1-3 years of managerial experience

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university
  • 1-3 years of managerial experience and proven leadership skills
  • Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or skilled nursing facility
