RN Registered Nurse Supervisor, Long Term Care

About This Role

Supervise and coordinate nursing staff and provide leadership to ensure clinical objectives and quality patient care. You will assign tasks, educate, and monitor staff while assessing patient care needs and evaluating effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate staffing and provides leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in assigned area
• Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff
• Provide input for hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff
• Assess daily patient care needs and develops and distributes patient care assignments
• Ensure that population appropriate patient care is given
• Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues that affect desired patient outcomes
• Assure resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiate corrective action as appropriate
• Respond to complaints about patient care and manage through established channels

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
• Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
• 1 year of cumulative job specific experience

Qualifications

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience
• 1 year of cumulative job specific experience
