RN Registered Nurse Supervisor - Long Term Care

About This Role

Supervise and coordinate nursing staff to ensure the implementation of clinical objectives and provide quality patient care within a long-term care facility. This role involves directing and educating staff, assessing patient needs, and evaluating care effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff
• Provide input for hiring, training, development, and evaluation of staff
• Assess daily patient care needs and develop/distribute patient care assignments
• Ensure population-appropriate patient care is given
• Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify issues affecting desired patient outcomes
• Assure resident safety by identifying hazards and emergency situations, then initiating corrective action
• Respond to complaints about patient care and manage them through established channels

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Registered Nurse licensure prior to hire date
• 1 year of cumulative job specific experience alongside professional licensure/certification

Qualifications

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience
• 1 year of cumulative job specific experience
