About This Role

This nursing position involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care, focusing on clinical excellence, safety, and service. The role supports the MHS Vision, Values, Mission, and Strategic Plans while functioning as a staff nurse and providing leadership as delegated by the Nurse Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide patient care
  • Assist the Nurse Manager in achieving an environment of excellence in clinical quality, safety, and service
  • Support the Vision, Values, Mission, and Strategic Plans of MHS
  • Function as a staff nurse and/or relief charge nurse as needed on assigned unit
  • Assume a nursing leadership role as delegated by the Nurse Manager
  • Communicate clearly and openly
  • Build relationships to promote a collaborative environment
  • Be accountable for performance
  • Always look for ways to improve the patient experience
  • Take initiative for professional growth

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
  • Bachelor degree in Nursing
  • 3 years of nursing experience
  • Current CPR certification
  • Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Nursing
  • 3 years of nursing experience

Nice to Have

  • National certification in specialty area

Certifications

Current CPR Certification (Required) National certification in specialty area or will obtain within one year (Required)
