About This Role

This position is for a Registered Nurse on the 4N Neuro/Ortho unit, responsible for delivering nursing care through the nursing process, applying competent clinical knowledge, and using independent nursing judgment to achieve quality patient care outcomes. The incumbent provides professional nursing care for patients in an inpatient hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates safety and continuity of care using documentation and handoff tools.
• Creates a plan of care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnoses, intervention, and evaluation of outcomes.
• Recognizes patient safety concerns through appropriate resources.
• Provides education based on unique learning needs of the patient.
• Performs an adequate patient assessment and documentation.
• Utilizes Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) in nursing care.
• Retains accountability for delegated nursing care.
• Individualizes care based on beliefs, barriers, and readiness to learn of patients.
• Integrates the American Nursing Association (ANA)’s code of ethics to guide nursing practice.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date
• Less than 12 months of experience as a registered nurse

Qualifications

• Less than 12 months of experience as a registered nurse.
