About This Role

This role is a professional-level sales position focusing on supporting the DIY automotive business by providing expert knowledge of store systems, advanced automotive systems, and parts. This position identifies, troubleshoots, and assists DIY customers with projects and sources parts. Additionally, the role involves maintaining store inventory processes and ensuring high standards of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance
• Perform key holder responsibilities in absence of management (task assignment, safety, open/close duties)
• Assist in store inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, back stock
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot

Requirements

• 3-5 years of prior automotive parts experience
• Proven sales ability with past experience in fulfillment of customer transactions
• Working knowledge of automotive systems (internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronic, exhaust, etc.)
• Ability to speak and write English
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
• Ability to understand and execute instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment
• Use basic math accurately
• Use Microsoft software effectively (Word, Excel)
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of prior automotive parts experience; proven sales ability with past experience in fulfillment of customer transactions

Nice to Have

• ASE P2 certified or ASE ready equivalent
• ASE Certification
