This role involves day-to-day oversight of restoration projects, focusing on quality control, subcontractor management, and client communication, particularly for hail and roofing projects. The Project Superintendent acts as the on-site eyes and ears for the Construction Department.
Responsibilities
- Oversee subcontractors on assigned restoration projects
- Communicate directly with clients and property owners on-site
- Ensure accuracy of project paperwork and documentation
- Conduct daily quality control inspections of subcontractor work
- Monitor jobsite safety and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
- Manage and adhere to the construction schedule
- Report any concerns to the Project Manager
- Ensure all demolition is clean and complete daily
- Coordinate site-specific activities professionally and safely
- Conduct periodic crew meetings, including safety briefings
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of hail damage and roofing projects
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Basic ability to read and understand Xactimate scopes
- Basic knowledge of local, state, and federal code requirements
- Intermediate problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to motivate and supervise staff and contractors
- Ability to manage, schedule, and organize all aspects of a project
