Respiratory Care Practitioner

About This Role

Join our team as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) providing routine therapy, diagnostic procedures, and emergency cardiopulmonary care to chronically and critically ill patients. Maintain equipment and perform phlebotomy and basic lab testing as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine therapy for patients
• Perform diagnostic cardiopulmonary procedures for patients
• Perform emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients
• Maintain all equipment in working order
• Provide phlebotomy for the patient population
• Perform basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested

Requirements

• Certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma, preferably an associate degree, for hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases
• Prior inpatient hospital experience preferred, or a desire and commitment to learn; minimum of one-year clinical respiratory experience preferred

Nice to Have

• Prior inpatient hospital experience
• One-year clinical respiratory experience
