Residential Therapist

About This Role

The Clinical Manager will provide clinical guidance, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality, evidence-based mental health services for adult residents in the Lou Masterman Center & Psychiatric Individualized Supportive Living Programs in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Responsibilities

• Guide the planning and delivery of clinical services, actively participating in staff meetings, treatment team discussions, and residential program meetings
• Conduct initial and annual assessments, develop and update personalized treatment plans with residents, and provide individual and group therapy
• Supervise and train Residential Community Support staff, offering ongoing feedback, training, and corrective discipline
• Review referrals to determine eligibility, complete admission justifications, and manage discharge planning, including thorough documentation
• Ensure all clinical documentation meets DMH, CARF, and agency standards, conduct weekly clinical reviews, and set observation protocols
• Collaborate with the PISL/IRTS Behavioral Health Technician coordinator on monthly reports
• Work closely with treatment team members and external providers
• Respond to residents' clinical needs during work hours, and be available for occasional after-hours phone support for clinical emergencies

Requirements

• Master's degree in a human services-related field
• Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP)
• Licensed or Provisionally Licensed Therapist (LPC or PLPC) or Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW)
• Valid driver's license (Class E for Missouri or equivalent)
• Eligible to obtain CPR/First Aid certification

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a human services-related field
• Experience in clinical supervision and mental health treatment planning preferred
