Residential Support Staff

About This Role

The Residential Support Staff will provide daily living and psychosocial support to residents at Pollard Place, monitoring operations and assisting with life skills and medication self-administration. This role focuses on maintaining a safe and supportive environment for individuals with severe mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor residents with daily living skills
• Supervise medication self-administration in accordance with guidelines
• Provide support with psychosocial rehabilitation activities
• Maintain a structured and safe residential environment
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and supervisors
• Document resident activities and progress as required

Requirements

• Ability to work with and relate to adults with severe mental illness in a residential setting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Prior experience working with individuals with SMI (serious mental illness)
